Synophropsis lauri

9. Synophropsis lauri (Horváth, 1897) Figs 35–37. MATERIAL. Greece, Korfu Island, environs of Nissaki Village, ca 12 km north of Kerkyra, from Laurus nobilis L., 4.VI.2018, signals of two males recorded at 29 ° C. SIGNALS. The male calling signal is a phrase lasting for about 10–20 s. It consists of repeating components each including several short low-amplitude syllables and one longer syllable increasing in amplitude towards the end (Figs 35–37). Repetition period of these components averages 2.5– 3.5 s. The duration of longer syllables is 350–450 ms; the duration of shorter syllables is more variable and ranges from 80 to 200 ms.
