Hands-On Training in Photovoltaic Reliability Assessment: A Multinational Educational Approach under the PROMISE Project
The PROMISE project organized a one-week Advanced School to enhance photovoltaic (PV) reliability education, focusing on hands-on training, expert-led talks, and game-based learning. Students from 14 countries participated in practical exercises on PV fault detection techniques such as thermal imaging, electroluminescence, and UV fluorescence. The program included expert feedback and group discussions, promoting peer learning. A board game, inspired by Monopoly, reinforced PV system operation concepts, encouraging teamwork and critical thinking. Feedback indicated that most participants found the training beneficial for their careers.
