Bytowe braki a prywatywna teoria sztuki – w świetle metafizyki tomizmu egzystencjalnego
The article addresses the issue of ontic deficiencies within the framework of the theory of art developed by the Polish Neo-Thomist school, rooted in the philosophical traditions of Aristotle and Thomas Aquinas. Beginning with the definition of art as articulated within this school of thought, the author identifies and elaborates on various types of ontic deficiencies, drawing on the texts of Aristotle, Thomas Aquinas, and their 20th-century followers associated with the Lublin Philosophical School. This classification provides a basis for presenting a general, analogical account of how art functions – namely, as a response to ontic deficiencies, with its ultimate purpose being their recognition and its essential goal their supplementation.
