The article analyzes the traditional activities of the pharmacy business and their work order, as well as the changes that occurred in this regard after the conquest of the country by the Russian Empire in the Turkestan region. The issues of opening pharmacies, their functioning and training of specialists were also studied. In particular, the attitude of the colonial government to the opening of private pharmacies, the area of the city where a pharmacy could be opened, as well as the conditions for opening a new pharmacy are indicated.
