Australian Agricultural Productivity, 2023–24 data dashboard
This product consists of a data dashboard containing agricultural productivity estimates for the Australian broadacre and dairy industries. These estimates have been complied by ABARES from survey data over the period from 1977–78 through to 2023–24. The estimates are presented at a national, industry, state, and regional level, where available. Climate adjusted productivity estimates are also available for the period from 1988–89 to 2023–24. This release presents the statistics in an interactive data dashboard, allowing users to select a particular series and time period of their choosing. Agricultural productivity is an important measure of farm business performance, because in the long run, it reflects the efficiency with which farmers use inputs to produce outputs. Productivity growth is a key mechanism for farmers to maintain industry competitiveness and boost profitability.
