Incidencia de la monotonía en las jornadas de trabajo de una empresa de tecnología

In this work, an example of how monotony affects new generations of professionals and its impact on job desertion in organizations is presented. To evaluate these effects in a technology company, the Borg effort scale was established for the analysis of a group of individuals under the same environmental conditions and activities, as well as a more in-depth analysis of the conditions of each participant through interviews following the collection of quantitative results, contributing to the final analysis of the study. The relevance of this coincides with the January 2022 classifications of the World Health Organization (WHO) in the ICD-11, where it is determined to include burnout among the health problems related to mental distancing or negativism towards work and/or feelings of exhaustion or depletion of energy. Monotony, on the other hand, is related to the development of any of these symptoms, making its measurement of great interest to prevent mental health problems at work, as well as to reduce job desertion rates. The results of the analysis show that individuals who reported high levels of monotony exhibit symptoms related to those outlined in the WHO's ICD-11. This study demonstrates the importance of creating stimulating and varied work environments to keep new professionals engaged and motivated in their jobs.
