Observing System Simulation Experiment Tradespace Capability for NOAA’s Future Mission Design: Final Report, ParOSSE

This report describes the implementation of the ParOSSE framework for NOAA’s current and potential temperature and water vapor sounding architectures, focusing on passive hyperspectral infrared and microwave observations from: 1. the Cross-track Infrared Sounder (CrIS) and the Advanced Technology Microwave Sounder (ATMS) 2. future hyperspectral sounding from the next-generation geostationary infrared sounder 3. potential future hyperspectral IR and microwave sounders, based on technology either currently available or in development.
