Citomegalovirosi congenita: terapia antivirale dalla gravidanza all’infanzia.

Cytomegalovirus is one of the main causes of intellectual disability and hearing loss following intrauterine infection. Over the years, efforts have multiplied to fight the infection or its effects through pharmacological interventions both on pregnant women and on their fetuses or babies, waiting for this problem can be prevented through the use of a safe and effective vaccine. A brief review of the main therapeutic- preventive approaches used and their results is proposed.
