Exploring Educators' Perspectives on AI: Corpus Linguistic Analysis
Artificial intelligence (AI) has become a prominent tool in education, shaping the ways educators and students interact with technology. This dissertation focuses on K–12 educators' perspectives on AI through the analysis of natural language in online discourse. The first manuscript examines how educators discuss AI online, uncovering their focus on practical applications, dependability, and safety in classrooms. The second manuscript explores educators' emotions toward AI, using sentiment and emotion detection to reveal nuanced attitudes, including anger and trust. Together, these studies provide actionable insights to guide AI training, policies, and tools, aligning them with educators' needs for effective integration into K–12 education.
