Multi-scale modelling of plastic anisotropy of aluminium sheets and application to deep-drawing
Material processing induces texture development which in turn results in anisotropy in the macroscopic plastic properties. Improvement of the finite-element predictions of the geometry of the final part (e.g. shape, thickness reduction) necessitates accurate modelling of the plastic anisotropy. In this paper, we show that a polycrystalline model for which the grain level behavior is described using a recent invariant-based single crystal model enables us to gain insights onto the role of the weights of the main texture components generally found in aluminium alloy sheets on anisotropic macroscopic properties and overall forming performance.
