Synthesis of\nDiaryl Ethers via Hypervalent Iodine-Mediated\nC–H Functionalization

A hypervalent iodine-reagent-based\nC–H functionalization\nstrategy was utilized to synthesize diaryl ethers. This method directly\ntransforms various arenes into their corresponding diaryliodonium\nsalts, followed by a C–O coupling reaction to produce structurally\ndiverse diaryl ethers. The efficacy of this approach in the late-stage\nstructural modifications of complex molecules was demonstrated.

Abstract

This method directly\ntransforms various arenes into their corresponding diaryliodonium\nsalts, followed by a C–O coupling reaction to produce structurally\ndiverse diaryl ethers.
