We\npresent the first example of nickel(II)-catalyzed\nβ-C(sp<sup>3</sup>)–H thiolation of ketones, employing\n2-hydrazinopyridine\nas an efficient directing group. This approach enables the thiolation\nof a diverse array of ketones at the β-position. The straightforward\ninstallation and subsequent removal of the directing group significantly\nenhance the synthetic versatility and practicality of this transformation.
