Evaluating the\nHydrothermal Stability of Superbase–Based\nIonic Liquids in Cellulose Fiber Spinning
This study highlights the substantially improved hydrothermal\nstability\nof 7-methyl-1,5,7-triazabicyclo[4.4.0] dec-5-enium [mTBDH]+ in [mTBDH][MeOCH2COO] compared to [mTBDH][OAc], as well\nas the strong cellulose dissolution capability of [mTBDH][MeOCH2COO] and excellent spinnability with a maximum draw ratio\nof 14. These findings demonstrate the high potential of using [mTBDH][MeOCH2COO] as the solvent to advance Ioncell fiber spinning technology\nby reducing the hydrolysis rate of [mTBDH]+, thereby minimizing\nloss during solvent recycling processes.
