Abstract

The Cu–Mn interaction in copper–manganese\ncomposite\noxide catalysts is crucial for their catalytic oxidation activity\nof volatile organic compounds (VOCs). In this study, highly dispersed\ncopper–manganese coprecipitates were synthesized using a microreactor,\nand the effects of feeding intervals on the structure of the precipitates\nand catalysts were investigated by means of X-ray diffraction (XRD),\nRaman spectroscopy, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The\nresults indicate that sequential feeding can produce coprecipitates\nwith better uniformity. An appropriate time difference between the\nMn2+ and Cu2+ feeds can make the coprecipitate\nmore uniform and enhance the Cu–Mn interactions in the catalyst.\nHigher ratios of both surface Mn3+/Mn4+ and\nOlatt/Oads are considered attributable to better\ncatalytic performance.
