Preparation\nof High Thermal Conductivity Graphene\nFilms by Rapid Reduction with Low Energy Consumption
In the domain of smart electronic\ndevices, graphene films play\na pivotal role due to their flexibility and high thermal conductivity.\nWithin the realm of fabricating highly thermally conductive graphene\nfilms, Joule heating technology has garnered significant attention\nbecause of its capability for rapid temperature elevation and reduction\nof graphitization duration. However, substantial gas emission occurs\nduring the reduction of graphene oxide films using this method, leading\nto immediate combustion and film fracturing, thereby limiting the\nrapid and uninterrupted production of graphene films. To address this\nchallenge, a rapid reduction preparation process is introduced. This\nprocess initiates with a two-step reduction of graphene oxide films\nemploying a reducing agent to establish gas escape pathways within\nthe graphene films beforehand. Subsequently, the film is pressurized\nand Joule-heated using a graphite plate, with the entire heating process\nlasting only 800 s. The resulting graphene film exhibits a remarkable\nthermal conductivity of up to 1012W/(m·K). This method enhances\nthe production efficiency of high thermal conductivity graphene films\nand is expected to further reduce production costs.
