Abstract

All-solid-state lithium-ion batteries (ASSBs) are emerging\nas promising\ncandidates for power applications in electric vehicles and various\nenergy storage systems, garnering significant research interest. However,\nenhancing the Li+ conductivity and stability of polymer\nelectrolyte has been a persistent challenge in the field. This work\ndemonstrates a novel approach to fabricating a composite polymer electrolyte\n(CPE) with uniformly dispersed porous MOF-808 particles in a poly(ethylene\noxide) (PEO) matrix mixed with LiTFSI salt. The resulted CPE exhibits\na 20-fold increase in ion conductivity (9.7 × 10–4 S cm–1 at 60 °C) and an expanded electrochemical\nwindow up to 4.8 V. The assembled ASSBs with LiFePO4 cathodes\nand Li metal anodes under 50 MPa pressure show good specific capacity\n(140.3 mAh g–1) and excellent cycling stability\n(93.5% capacity retention). This CPE has also demonstrated excellent\ncompatibility with the high-voltage cathode material NCM811, exhibiting\nsuperior electrochemical stability. Results of this work highlight\nthe use of MOF materials in CPE, advancing the development of next-generation\nsolid-state batteries.
