Al/Cu-Doped\nV6O13 Microflowers\nas Cathodes for Rechargeable Lithium-Ion Batteries

The continuous advancement of smart grids and electric\nvehicles\nhas led to an increasing demand for lithium-ion batteries with high\nenergy density and long cycle life, which has sparked considerable\nresearch interest. Herein, Al/Cu-doped V6O13 (ACVO) is successfully synthesized by a hydrothermal-calcination\nmethod. ACVO delivers a microflower structure with a diameter of about\n20 μm. Furthermore, the sample’s initial discharge capacity\nis 345 mA h g–1, representing a 44% increase compared\nto that of the pure V6O13. The incorporation\nof Al/Cu doping can effectively mitigate the charge transfer resistance\nand enhance the diffusion rate of lithium ions. This study indicates\nthat ACVO has potential applications as a cathode material in lithium-ion\nbatteries.
