Applying Simulation Techniques and Tools for Large-scale Computing

Given the increasing expansion of large-scale computing infrastructures, in the near future, many of the computing services of the Research Institute of Iran Science and Technology, such as "providing electronic proposals and theses," and "performing scientific and efficient calculations," can only meet the growing needs of their users with acceptable quality by leveraging such infrastructures. Considering this necessity, this research project aims to explore how to utilize simulation techniques and tools in large-scale computing operations as a first step towards achieving the ultimate goal of implementing various computing services of the institute based on large-scale computing technologies. To this end, after reviewing the techniques and tools for large-scale simulation, we will categorize the various types of these techniques and tools. Subsequently, the report will identify the different needs for utilizing the techniques and tools of each category, focusing on the field of electronic education and learning, and will discuss how to apply these techniques and tools in some common scenarios in this area.
