Hierarchical genomic analysis of susceptibility to schizophrenia in Sudanese multi-case families

This study analyzed the whole genomes/exomes of seven Sudanese families with multiple siblings affected by schizophrenia. We investigated shared variants among family members, including both affected individuals and controls, as well as unique variants shared by patients but not present in the controls. To provide comprehensive information related to this study, we submitted various supplementary materials, including a supplementary table, ethical approval from the official ethics committee, the Standards for Reporting Qualitative Research (SRQR) checklist used to review the methods, the questionnaire used, the written consent form, and a document confirming the study's prior funding by the World Academy of Science.
