Status and Support of Women Literacy in Islam

There is a direct relationship between breastfeeding andliteracy. The higher the education of women the more theycan understand the importance of breastfeeding. Althoughbreastfeeding is more common among the lower wealthquintiles, the relationship with education is different and isinfluenced by the level of education and work status ofwomen. Health literacy is defined as ―an individual‘sability to obtain and translate knowledge and informationin order to maintain and improve health in ways that areappropriate to the individual and community context.
