Light Goes First: Projected Telepresence and Optical Command for Autonomous Robotic Construction in Extraterrestrial Environments

This work proposes a conceptual model to reduce the impact of latency in Mars–Earth communications by using reception and relay stations located within the Martian system. The study considers the physical limitation of the speed of light and presents a practical approach for data stabilization and synchronization, enabling greater efficiency in scientific and logistical operations. The proposal includes an analysis of the initial scenario, implementation feasibility, and strategic benefits for interplanetary missions.

Abstract

This work proposes a conceptual model to reduce the impact of latency in Mars–Earth communications by using reception and relay stations located within the Martian system. The study considers the physical limitation of the speed of light and presents a practical approach for data stabilization and synchronization, enabling greater efficiency in scientific and logistical operations. The proposal includes an analysis of the initial scenario, implementation feasibility, and strategic benefits for interplanetary missions.
