Terrorismo yihadista en los corredores estratégicos de la BRI: Securitización y estrategia contraterrorista de China en Asia Central y el Índico
This research adopts a qualitative, analytical, and predominantly exploratory approach. The key dimensions to be analysed -the discursive justification and practical deployment of securitisation by China-, are examined through the perspective of moral realism and the concept of unrestricted warfare, specifically using the discursive framework proposed by Snow and Benford. Additionally, the study explores the implementation of China's 2015 Anti-Terrorism Law, practices related to digital securitisation, and mechanisms of regional strategic cooperation in response to the terrorist threat. The primary sources employed include official Chinese government documents, specialised academic literature, and original analyses derived from databases belonging to internationally recognised scientific and academic institutions. The data obtained from these sources are crucial, as they provide both the discursive frameworks utilised by Chinese authorities and the specific practices implemented, thus enabling a comprehensive and critical analysis of the tensions between the pursuit of stability, economic development, and respect for human rights in the regions under study. The relevance of this study lies in its contribution to understanding the strategic, political, and ethical implications of securitisation within the context of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), facilitating reflection on the sustainability and long-term strategic viability of the Chinese policies analysed. Keywords: Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), Xinjiang, Balochistan, CPEC, Moral Realism, Unrestricted Warfare.
