Rupture-Containment Cosmology: A Material Origin Hypothesis for CMB Anomalies, Expansion Dynamics, and Pre-Bang Continuity

Rupture–Containment Cosmology (RCC) is a causal, medium-based alternative to the ΛCDM model, addressing multiple observational tensions — including cosmic acceleration, early massive galaxies detected by JWST, the Hubble tension, and large-scale CMB anomalies — without invoking dark energy, inflation, or new exotic matter. In RCC, the universe does not originate from a vacuum fluctuation or singularity; instead, it expands following the rupture of a pre-universal medium of perfectly uniform density and pressure. This rupture released stored tension, initiating decompression and an expansion field that observationally mimics spacetime geometry. Unlike ΛCDM, RCC derives phenomena such as supernova dimming, fine-structure variation, and early galaxy formation from refractive drag, decompression gradients, and residual tension in the medium. General relativity, special relativity, and quantum mechanics retain calculational validity within their stability zones, but are reframed as approximations of underlying medium dynamics. RCC makes decisive, near-term testable predictions. Chief among them is a laboratory falsifier: an atomic clock embedded in a slowed-light Bose–Einstein condensate should accumulate less elapsed time than its peers — in direct contradiction to GR, SR, and QFT. Additional predictions include spatial drift in physical constants aligned with decompression gradients, suppression of Hawking radiation through medium encapsulation, and vortex-driven galaxy spin patterns. This is less a contest of mathematics than of foundations. Just as the Ptolemaic and Copernican systems both described the heavens under different assumptions, GR and RCC both fit current observations but rest on fundamentally different principles: GR frames invariance through geometry; RCC restores causality through a universal medium.
