A Calibrated Log-Mixed Δv Estimator with NASA-Grade Corrections

We present a refined closed-form Δv estimator for escape trajectories that extends our prior log-mixed formulation [1] through enhanced regime blending via a sigmoidal mixing function. Building upon our established two-point/least-squares calibration framework [1], the model now achieves <1% error against NASA reference data through three key innovations: (1) aerodynamic drag correction using US Standard Atmosphere profiles, (2) gravity-loss compensation via pitch-angle optimization, and (3) inclination change adjustments. While maintaining the O(1) computational efficiency and seven-parameter portability of our original formulation [1], the enhanced estimator demonstrates superior accuracy in Earth-orbit scenarios when calibrated against GMAT outputs and NASA mission telemetry.
