GOVERNANCE AND INTEGRATED MANAGEMENT OF INNOVATION IN EMERGING ECOSYSTEMS: SYSTEMIC MODEL BASED ON THE ISO 56000 SERIES

The consolidation of emerging innovation ecosystems depends on the coordination of multiple stakeholders and the implementation of effective governance and integrated management models. This study aimed to propose a systemic model of innovation governance and management based on the ISO 56000 series, tailored to collaborative environments with low institutional maturity. A qualitative, exploratory, and descriptive approach was adopted, using a case study of the InovaSerra Innovation Hub, located in Serra, Espírito Santo, Brazil. Data collection involved document analysis and indirect observation, triangulated with ISO 56002, 56003, 56005, and 56006 guidelines. The results revealed that fragmentation among innovation, intellectual property, partnerships, and strategic intelligence hinders the effectiveness of the ecosystem. The proposed model integrates these four pillars into a coordinated, adaptable, and context-sensitive framework. The study concludes that an adapted application of the ISO 56000 series enhances collaborative governance and supports the sustainability and strategic impact of emerging innovation ecosystems.
