ENSURING MEASUREMENT TRACEABILITY IN THE FIELD OF MODERN BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERING
This work explores the scientific and technical foundations for ensuring measurement traceability in the field of modern biomedical engineering. Biomedical engineering involves the identification, measurement, and evaluation of physiological processes in the human body through various medical instruments, biomonitoring systems, and diagnostic devices. In these processes, ensuring measurement traceability—that is, ensuring the reliability, accuracy, and compatibility of measurement results with other systems—is critically important. The study analyzes aspects such as metrological support, calibration, working with standards, and certification of measuring instruments. It also examines the challenges encountered and the solutions proposed in maintaining measurement traceability for modern medical devices such as ECG machines, MRI scanners, blood pressure monitors, and other sensor systems. The results of this research contribute to improving the efficiency of medical technologies used in the healthcare system and ensuring patient safety.
