Macro‑Microbial Coherent Aerial Phenomena (MMCAP): A Testable Hypothesis and Multi‑Channel Protocol for a Subset of Unidentified Aerial Reports
Reports of “cigar/tic‑tac”–shaped unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP) often exhibit (i) apparent motionwithout conventional propulsion or thermal plumes, (ii) rapid shape change and intermittent visibility, and(iii) occurrence near humid environments. We propose a testable, falsifiable hypothesis for a subset of suchreports: Macro‑Microbial Coherent Aerial Phenomena (MMCAP). In MMCAP, a biological aerosol (spores/bacteria/airborne biofilm) transiently enters a collective coherent state assisted by a thin bio‑plasma sheath, producing a macroscopic optical/IR object with atypical dynamics and partial radar transparency. We outlinea minimal physical model (thin plasma shell with frequency‑dependent skin depth; Dicke‑typesuper‑radiance windows; local cavity‑Q constraints), derive distinctive predictions (biophoton spectrum at310–600 nm; ELF notches around a few kHz; post‑event particulate “fallout” seen by LiDAR/IR; microbial/VOCenrichment), and specify field and laboratory protocols with acceptance criteria and systematic‑errorcontrols. The framework does not claim that all UAP are biological; rather, it provides a concrete, falsifiablemechanism for a specific phenotype and a reproducible data path (Go/No‑Go) to confirm or reject it.
