Role of Rural Based Small & Cottage Industry in the Socio-Economic Development of India

Abstract: India has its characteristics in her villages since it has an impressive background & prosperous history based on agriculture and its produce. The socio-economic status of India was based on this product. After its independence the Planning Commission and Ministry of Finance focused on its development to uplift the socio-economic status of rural Indians. In this era of the global village, the world is shrunken, and the benefit of this global development has to be achieved by highlighting the peculiarity of India by setting the global market with the help of commerce and industries is a timely need which will develop the socio-economic status of Indians, especially concerning rural India.
