Knowledge and Awareness of application of prosthetics in forensic dentistry among dentists in Nagpur: A Questionnaire Based, Cross Sectional Study

Background: Forensic dentistry plays a pivotal role in human identification, particularly in cases involving mass disasters, unrecognizable remains, and criminal investigations. The incorporation of prosthetics, such as dentures with identification markers, enhances the efficacy of forensic identification. However, the awareness and knowledge regarding these applications among dental practitioners remain underexplored. Aim: This study aimed to assess the knowledge and awareness of the application of prosthetics in forensic dentistry among practicing dentists in Nagpur.
