Paper 16: Time Dilation from Coherence Gradients in the Holosphere Lattice
This paper explores how relativistic time dilation can be derived from angular coherence gradients within the Holosphere lattice framework. Unlike conventional interpretations that treat time dilation as a coordinate-dependent effect of spacetime curvature or relative velocity, the Holosphere model treats time as a physically emergent quantity tied to rotational phase continuity across a discrete lattice of nested, Holospheres. Local proper time is defined by the coherence lifetime of angular phase alignment between neighboring Holospheres. Gradients in this coherence lifetime—induced by motion, strain, or gravitational curvature—determine the local rate at which time flows. We derive a coherencebased time dilation expression that reduces to special relativity under high-coherence propagation and diverges under strain-induced decoherence. This geometric reinterpretation replaces continuous time with a discrete, quantized ticking governed by phase propagation, and suggests new experimental pathways using systems with tunable coherence.
