Phase_Stepping and Probability_Process Rules, Exemplars, and Outcome Predictions
This manuscript codifies a geometry-first workflow for quantum interference and tunneling experiments, unifying “phase-stepping” rules with a clear separation between selection and realization in probabilistic modeling. Twelve operational rules—augmented by a cone-accounting addendum (5′)—link boundary rays, short-stop planes, and ring footprints to downstream outcomes. Probability roles are organized into Born probability (event weights), directive probability (constraint-selected candidates), range probability (region-limited selection), and post-selected operational ensembles. Three worked exemplars—Caltech/Princeton-style offset geometry, single-cone tunneling with barrier footprints, and a double-slit with center post—demonstrate ridge formation, Z-tension hotspots, and forward S→T₁→T predictions without far-field back-inference. Closed-form relations (e.g., ring diameter 2Ltanθ2L\tan\theta2Ltanθ) provide metrology for detector placement and tolerance propagation. The framework yields testable outcome predictions and a practical playbook for designing, calibrating, and interpreting experiments that mix interference, truncation, and controlled re-emits.
