THE IMPACT OF LANGUAGE GAMES AND INTERACTIVE ACTIVITIES IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEACHING
This study investigates the pedagogical potential of language games and interactive activities in English language teaching (ELT). With the shift toward communicative and student-centered learning, educators increasingly rely on interactive methods to foster engagement, improve linguistic competence, and develop soft skills. Drawing on recent empirical studies and theoretical frameworks, this article explores how language games contribute to vocabulary acquisition, grammar retention, oral fluency, and learner motivation in EFL/ESL contexts. The findings suggest that games, when thoughtfully integrated into curricula, significantly enhance both cognitive and affective dimensions of language learning.
