Presently Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) is the largest Public Employment guarantee Programme in the world. Data collected through field survey in Assam (India) state and using the tools of economic analysis of PSM (Propensity Score Matching) and DinD (Difference in Difference), this article makes a evaluation of the ‘Development Practice’ of MGNREGA with respect to one important indicators of inclusive development i.e. creation of income and employment
