Addressing Water Scarcity in Rural Maharashtra A study of CSR Initiatives in Water Accounting and Conservation

Abstract : The availability of freshwater resources is critical to the growth of society. Water shortages are a big problem for rural Maharashtra regions. Due to lack of water availability affects daily life, agriculture and social economic development. This paper examines how companies use water accounting and conservation methods by using CSR practice to help solve water scarcity problems. This study evaluates how various businesses effectively use CSR practice to solve deficiency of water in rural Maharashtra. In this paper use secondary data from both quantitative and qualitative methods. This research paper analyzes various projects and programmers of business such as rainwater harvesting, sustainable water usages by various projects. Water conservation step taken by business is very significant for the future that is explained in this paper. This paper concludes that CSR initiatives play important roles for solving water scarcity problems in rural Maharashtra
