Fundamental principles and economic–managerial classification of modern approaches to strategic innovation transformations in construction projects and their stakeholders

The subject of this article is the fundamental principles of strategic innovation transformationsin construction projects and the economic–managerial classification of modern approaches to theirimplementation. The study focuses on examining the interconnection between strategic innovations, managerial approaches, and the economic efficiency of construction projects while considering theinterests of all stakeholders, including developers, investors, contractors, regulatory bodies, and end users. The research analyzes key influencing factors on innovation transformations, such as digitalization, automation, the adoption of environmentally sustainable technologies, the integration of BIMsolutions, and artificial intelligence in project management. Particular attention is given to developinga classification of economic–managerial approaches to strategic transformations, assessing theireffectiveness at various stages of the construction project lifecycle, and evaluating the impact ofinternal and external factors on the innovation activities of enterprises. The purpose of this article is to analyze the fundamental principles and classify economic–managerial approaches to strategic innovation transformations in construction projects. The studyaims to identify key trends in the industry’s innovative development, evaluate the effectiveness ofdifferent management models, and develop methodological recommendations for implementingstrategic changes. Additionally, the research seeks to identify the role of stakeholders in innovationtransformations, explore mechanisms of interaction between them, and develop methods to enhancethe efficiency of their collaboration. Special emphasis is placed on analyzing digital transformationtools, innovation financing, and organizational changes, which enable construction companies to adaptto modern market challenges and enhance their competitiveness. Research Methodology. The research methodology is based on a systematic approach, allowingfor a comprehensive assessment of the economic and managerial aspects of strategic innovationtransformations in construction projects. A structural–logical approach is used for analysis, enablingthe identification of key components of strategic changes and their interrelationship with managerialand economic factors. A comparative analysis is applied to evaluate international experience inimplementing innovation strategies, allowing for the adaptation of best global practices to the specificcharacteristics of the construction market. Special attention is given to expert evaluation, conductedthrough surveys of professionals in the construction industry, development, digital technologies, andeconomic analysis. This approach helps identify the main barriers and opportunities for implementinginnovative solutions. Additionally, economic–mathematical modeling is used to forecast the impact ofstrategic changes on financial stability and enterprise competitiveness. Methods for modeling innovation strategies integrate data on the lifecycle of constructionprojects, ensuring an assessment of their effectiveness at different stages of implementation. Thestudy also examines modern digital technologies, such as BIM, Big Data, artificial intelligence, andautomated management systems, analyzing their impact on transformation processes and potentialfor resource optimization. The applied methodological approach enables the formation of a holisticunderstanding of strategic innovation transformations in construction projects and their economic–managerial classification, providing valuable insights for future industry developments.Research Results. The study has identified the key factors influencing strategic innovationtransformations in construction projects and their interaction with stakeholders. It was established thatdigitalization, process automation, and the implementation of sustainable environmental solutions play acrucial role in driving innovation. Construction enterprises that adopt digital management technologiesdemonstrate higher efficiency in project coordination, cost reduction, and risk management. An analysis of international experience has confirmed that the most successful models of strategictransformation are based on an integrated approach to innovation management, where key elementsinclude the use of analytical systems, process automation, and adaptive business models. The findingsalso support the view that involving stakeholders at all stages of project implementation facilitatesbetter adaptation of innovations and enhances the overall efficiency of management. The results of this study can be applied to the development of new economic and managerialmodels for strategic transformations in the construction industry. These models will enable enterprisesto adapt to market challenges, improve their competitiveness, and effectively integrate innovation–driven strategies into their long–term development plans.Conclusions. The study confirmed that strategic innovation transformations in construction projectshave a multidimensional impact on economic efficiency and management processes. The introduction ofinnovation strategies based on digital technologies, automation and the use of analytical systems ensurescost optimization, increased productivity and reduced risks in the construction industry. The key conclusionof the study is the need for an integrated approach to strategic changes, which involves close interactionbetween all stakeholders, including developers, investors, contractors, government agencies and end users.Effective innovation management contributes not only to increasing the competitiveness of enterprises, butalso to ensuring their long–term stability in a changing market environment. An important component isthe development of economic and managerial classifications of modern approaches to strategic changes, which will allow enterprises to effectively adapt to technological and regulatory challenges. The methodsproposed in the study can be used to form new models of construction project management, which willensure the stable development of the industry and increase the investment attractiveness of enterprises.
