Tru-CoreTMURO: Prostate Biopsy Safety and Precision – A Systematic Review of Efficacy Across Over 3,000 Trans Rectal and Trans Perineal Procedures

A literature review was performed to identify clinical studies explicitly using the Tru-Core URO (18-gauge automated core biopsy instrument) in prostate cancer diagnosis.Key outcomes extracted included total number of biopsies, overall cancer detection rates(with Gleason grade/ISUP risk stratification when available), and biopsy-related complications(hematuria, rectal bleeding, infection/sepsis, urinary retention, etc.). Data wereaggregated separately for transrectal ultrasound (TRUS)-guided and trans-perineal biopsyapproaches.
