FINANCE IN ISOLATION, THE EXAMPLE OF IRAN
In the period following the imposition of sanctions, Iran faced many economic problems. Financial sanctions prevented Iran from accessing international transactions, and the international credit card system (MasterCard and VISA) was not widespread in Iran. The international community, including a number of States, imposed economic restrictions on the Islamic Republic of Iran, the purpose of which was to hinder the development of Iranian missile and nuclear research programs. Under the sanctions, the Iranians have managed to adapt and develop useful know-how. The article examines the ways of independent development of Iran, currently used and possible in the future.
