STOCHASTIC RESONANCE DETECTION ARCHITECTURE USING OSCILLATORY COHERENCE SYSTEMS
A method and system for detecting weak or sub-threshold signals using oscillator-based coherence architectures tuned to operate in the stochastic resonance (SR) regime. The architecture comprises a network of coupled oscillators subjected to controlled noise injection and frequency-nested co- herence windows, enabling the amplification of periodic input signals otherwise undetectable by threshold-based systems. Signal detection occurs through the emergence of phase-locked coher- ence, coherence collapse events, or nonlinear entrainment patterns within the oscillator population. The system dynamically adjusts oscillator coupling and noise parameters to enable robust detection across varying signal and noise environments, with applications including underwater acoustics, neural signal sensing, seismology, biosensor interfaces, and electromagnetic surveillance.
