Strategic Competence of Students: A Comprehensive Analysis
Abstract: In an increasingly globalized and interconnected world, students must develop strategic competence to navigate complex communication and learning challenges effectively. Strategic competence, a core component of communicative competence, encompasses the ability to employ cognitive, metacognitive, linguistic, and social-affective strategies to overcome linguistic and academic difficulties. This article delves into the theoretical foundations of strategic competence, its various types, and the challenges students face in oral communication. Additionally, it provides a critical analysis of existing research on the subject and discusses pedagogical interventions to enhance strategic competence in students.
