Transcriptomics in Early and Invasive Breast Cancer: A Systematic Review
This systematic review explores the role of transcriptomics in early and invasive breast cancer, focusing on gene expression profiling, microRNAs, and tumor microenvironment interactions. Using Synthory.AI, 31 articles from PubMed and PubMed Central™ were analyzed to assess the prognostic utility of the 21-gene Recurrence Score and miRNA signatures. The findings underscore their potential in patient stratification and clinical decision-making. However, challenges such as small sample sizes and retrospective data limit the generalizability of results. Future research should emphasize larger cohorts and prospective designs to enhance biomarker validation and clinical relevance, ultimately aiming to improve patient outcomes.
