Przypadek zawleczenia Eyprepocnemis plorans (Charpentier, 1825) (Orthoptera: Acrididae) do Polski

A case of introduction of Eyprepocnemis plorans (Charpentier, 1825) (Orthoptera: Acrididae) in to Poland.Garden shopping centres and markets, where numerous ornamental plants from different continents are sold, are places where many alien animal species, most often insects, have been found. Here we report the first known case of an accidental introduction of the lamenting grasshopper Eyprepocnemis plorans in to Poland. A single immature individual of this species was found among ornamental plants in the OBI shopping centre in Opole (50.676347,17.915175), Poland, on 5th October 2024.
