The Karmic Currents of Extinct Creatures: When Nature Selects and So Does the Mind
This article investigates the dual forces behind the extinction of species: natural selection and karmic currents. Drawing from evolutionary biology, paleontology and Buddhist doctrine, it proposes that extinction may not be a purely environmental phenomenon but also a process involving the mental volition of collective species. Through the lens of extinct animals such as the dodo, saber-toothed tiger and ancient marine reptiles the article explores how both external pressures and internal karmic tendencies converge to determine the end of a lineage. The study challenges conventional evolutionary views by adding the role of consciousness in the life and death cycles of species.
