Entrepreneurship as a Catalyst for Reducing Unemployment and Promoting Sustainable Development in West Africa
This paper examines entrepreneurship as a strategic and sustainable solution to the persistent unemployment crisis in developing nations, with a focus on West Africa. It argues that entrepreneurial ventures across small, medium, and large scales create employment, foster innovation, and stimulate economic growth. The study underscores the importance of government policies, financial support, vocational training, and enabling environments in nurturing entrepreneurship. Beyond job creation, the paper highlights how entrepreneurial activities contribute to poverty reduction, crime prevention, and community development, positioning entrepreneurship as a catalyst for socio-economic transformation.
