OpenMethods, Highlighting Digital Humanities Methods and Tools, is a DARIAH initiative born on the premise of the “Humanities at Scale” project in 2017. OpenMethods metablog DARIAH core service is meant to highlight previously published articles in the domain of digital humanities (DH), with a particular focus on tools and methods. It is intentionally interdisciplinary and multilingual, aiming to showcase the richness of DH discourses as they take shape in different regional, national and language communities. The Editorial Board's role in introducing and contextualizing articles effectively highlights the diverse landscape of DH research in various communities. The Editorial Team, and all the Volunteer Editors contributed to the growth of the platform over the years with more than 250 posts in 16 languages. The posts highlight a variety of tools and methodologies that are useful for exploring the past in the digital humanities landscape. Actually, in today's digital age, a wealth of data is being produced across many fields, including the humanities. OpenMethods is a valuable resource for researchers trying to navigate this landscape supporting their research by offering a rich database of featured tools and methodologies. The effort spent in the past will not be lost in the new phase the metablog is going to enter. Since 2025, in continuity with the work done until now, moving from the past structure as a Core Service to the new implementation as Community service, DARIAH.it will take charge of the OpenMethods management, preparing to take it into a new phase of development, ensuring its continued growth and relevance within the DH landscape. The DARIAH.it Coordination Office (DICO) will ensure a seamless transition from past to the future and the continued availability of the current platform (version 1.0) until the launch of the new OpenMethods 2.0. DARIAH.it proposal value for the new OpenMethods 2.0 can be summarized in the following key points, the so-called 4C: Continuity: preserving the value of OM1.0 from the past towards the future Coordination: with DARIAH-EU to avoid unwanted / unnecessary overlappings with other resources, tools and services Communication: OM2.0 as part of a structured communication agenda Consolidation: integration with relevant parts of the DARIAH-EU and Italian national ecosystems like MarketPlaces and Service provision platforms In detail, the work breakdown structure proposal for OpenMethods Transfer foresees five phases Interim Phase: new management enters; Design Phase: OM platform redesign and migration strategy implementation ensuring sustainability and preserving the past; Transition Phase: contents migrated.
