Adigalar, who entered the priesthood and took up monasticism at a young age, dedicated himself to artistic work. He was interested in Tamil and art from a young age and has created numerous works. It is possible that his profound knowledge of Tamil grammar and literature, which made his works excel, was also due to his deep knowledge of Tamil grammar and literature. Adigalar, who devoted his entire life to the life of art and social work, contributed according to the needs of the time in which he lived. Instead of explaining and explaining a subject verbally, dance dramas, which are performed in a variety of ways, combining aesthetics and taste with appropriate make-up, background music, dialogues, verses, jatis, swarams, and stage settings, are seen as the most suitable medium to connect the audience with the experience, to make people easily understand the idea being conveyed, and to stimulate thought. Thus, Adigalar manages to express many ideas through dance dramas. In this way, this study is moved forward with the title “The versatile personality expression of the venerable Dr. Mariaseviyar Adigalar and the dance dramas that emerged from his thought - A Perspective”. This article aims to examine the personality traits of Adigalar, who emerged as an individual and evolved into a great man with versatile talent, the dance plays that emerged from Adigalar's thoughts, and the ideas he conveyed to society through them. Furthermore, out of the diverse works created by Adigalar, such as research books, plays, and articles, only dance plays are taken for this study.
