ASSESSMENT OF ENERGY EFFICIENCY OF QUARRY EXCAVATORS BASED ON MODERNIZATION OF ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT AND INFORMATION AND DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS
ABSTRACT In this article the detailed analysis of drive systems of electric excavators of EKG type, widely used in the mining industry for loading and unloading operations, is carried out. Both traditional drive schemes and modern methods of electrical equipment modernization aimed at improving the efficiency and reliability of excavators under conditions of intensive operation are considered. Special attention in the work is paid to the study of excavator operating characteristics, among which such key parameters as duration of one working cycle of loading, power factor, specific energy capacity, as well as a number of other indicators reflecting the level of energy efficiency and productivity of machines are emphasized. In order to obtain accurate and objective data on the excavators' operation, the energy consumption of the main working mechanisms, such as lifting, slewing and pressure drives, was assessed. Information and diagnostic systems were actively used, allowing real-time collection, analysis and visualization of information on equipment condition, operating parameters and occurrence of possible malfunctions. Additionally, diagrams illustrating the behavior of anchor voltages and currents at different stages of the operating cycle are included, which enables a detailed analysis of the drive mechanisms operation and identification of potential optimization zones. The data presented can be used to assess the current status of the drive mechanisms and to identify areas for potential optimization.
