The article is devoted to the biographies of prominent holy women of European Christianity of the 11th – early 14th cc. – the heavenly patronesses of entire states: Euphrosynia of Polotsk, Edigna of Bavaria, Elizabeth of Thuringia, Agnes of the Bohemia, Margaret of Hungary, Jolanta of Gniezno, St. King of Poland and Margaret of Scotland. The connection of their genealogies with the dynasty of the great ruler of medieval Ukraine, the holy Equal-to-the-Apostles King Volodymyr, is traced. The article testifies to the close kinship of medieval Ukraine with all the Christian states of Europe at that time.
