EXAMINE AND ANALYZE THE COMPONENTS ON EFFECTIVE ACADEMIC ADMINISTRATION ENHANCING THE QUALITY OF EXCELLENCE IN THE TEACHER EDUCATION INSTITUTES-ANDHRA PRADESH

This paper highlights the qualitative in-depth theoretical research study to examine and analyze the components on the academic administration in the teacher education institutes of Andhra Pradesh with reference to the implemented practices in the Andhra University Affiliated Institution of the teacher education Programme in Andhra Pradesh. The descriptive content analysis method was used based on the sources of evidences and documents of authentic academic administration implementation and practices to enhance the quality of excellence in the teacher education institutions. This study is divided into two phases. Phase 1: Examine the main components of academic administration by synthesizing documents and related studies. Phase 2: Analyze and explore the sub- components relevant to the effective academic administration in the study. The qualitative descriptive objective-wise content analysis of the main components of academic administration like-academic Programme, curriculum development and implementation, teaching learning environment for professional development, continuous assessment and evaluation strategies and efficient resource management are highlighted. These components of academic administration in the teacher education institutions are not the theoretical presentations on the papers rather genuine real practicum implementations incorporated in theory. These academic administration components in the teacher education Programmes are with the vision to lead and develop highest level internal quality assurance system within the teacher education institutions, including measurement, assessment, evaluation and comparison of Programme learning outcomes. This qualitative research study has focused to examine on the main component areas of academic administration enhancing the quality of excellence and analyze the sub- components relevant to them that could create a teaching learning environment to foster the excellence in Teacher Education Institutes in the State, Nation and World, ensuring that future graduate and post graduate teacher trainees, teachers, teacher educators are well-prepared to meet the global challenges of the 21st century.
