Blockchain for E-Voting: A Study of Secure, Scalable, and Transparent Systems

In modern democracies, ensuring the security and transparency of voting systems is essential. Traditionalelectronic voting methods face challenges such as data tampering, centralized control, and limited public trust. Thispaper explores a blockchain-based voting system designed to overcome these issues through decentralization, immutability, and cryptographic verification. A prototype model is developed using smart contracts to automatevote casting and counting while ensuring voter anonymity and preventing duplicate votes. System performance isevaluated based on scalability, transaction speed, and security. The study also addresses practical concerns likevoter authentication and regulatory compliance. Results indicate that blockchain technology offers a promisingfoundation for building secure, transparent, and verifiable electoral systems, potentially strengthening democraticprocesses and increasing voter confidence in future digital elections.
