Abstract—Artificial Intelligence has emerged as a promising tool within ophthalmology for accurate and fast detection of a wide range of eye diseases.AI has become increasingly impactful across several medical domains, including ophthalmology, over the last few years. This review paper is aimed at ophthalmologists and offers an in-depth investigation of the application and future opportunities of AI within eye health.In addition, this article stresses the significance of developing AI research into clinical use, closing the divide between technology innovations and actual practice in medicine.
